Susan Kornfeld has been an amateur naturalist for many years now. She is cofounder of Golden West -- one of America's premier Women's Flyfishing clubs -- and wrote a column in California Flyfisher magazine. Most recently, Susan has been recognized at local competions for her outstanding poetry.

Ari Kornfeld, the primary author of this site, is an avid photographer and naturalist. Ari's formal training is in computer science; he has been a part of the computer industry for over 10 years now.

Both Susan and Ari have returned to school to study the natural sciences and humanities at Humboldt State University in Arcata, California.

Perspective Periodicals was created 1994 to help provide fresh perspectives on our relationship to nature.

Susan is pictured standing in front of an old-growth Giant Sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum), Ari is examining Redwood Sorrel (Oxalis oregana) at its base.
